Chief Electoral Officer
The Chief Electoral Officer is an independent position accountable to the cabinet and the assembly managing the Officer of the Chief Electoral Office. The Chief Electoral Officer retains staff and contractors to assist in the duties of the office and ensure that policies and materials are available to fulfill its mandate.
The office’s primary responsibility is to oversee all MMF elections and ensure their integrity. The Office also supports the Red River Métis in providing information to and participating in external elections (Federal, Provincial, and municipal).
The Chief Electoral Officer also advises, assists, and supports the President, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, the Governance Committee, the Assembly, and regional executives on various matters. The office assists with supporting Locals and maintaining records within the MMF.

Amber Stevens
Manager of Elections
The position is directly accountable to the Chief Electoral Officer. Its primary responsibility is to ensure the readiness and delivery of elections within the MMF. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the necessary documentation is completed for each election and the records are correctly maintained.

The position is responsible to the Chief Electoral Officer for keeping all other records organized and accessible, particularly the Laws, Regulations, policies, and resolutions of the Cabinet and AGA as well as the documents required by MMF for Regions and Locals.

REGIONAL RETURNING OFFICERS
During elections each Region has a person that will help oversee the election. These are casual, part-time positions which are required inly when there is an election. These positions recruit and oversee electoral staff within the region, assist in the creation of policy and forms necessary to conduct elections, and assist in increasing participation in external elections.
